Lianne is a Philadelphia-based photographer, journalist and educator with more than two decades of experience documenting people, communities, and social and environmental issues around the world. Her work has appeared in major publications including The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Guardian, National Geographic, and NPR.
Today, she also brings that same thoughtful, people-centered approach to family photography, creating natural, meaningful images that capture connection and everyday moments.
Outside of photography and teaching, she is an avid gardener and an active member of her Brewerytown community.

Horticulture is a Philadelphia-based plant and floral design business founded by Brewerytown resident Bahjah. With a background in Early Childhood Education, Bahjah brings a natural sense of care and nurturing to her work, creating beautiful, welcoming spaces filled with life.
Her mission is to illuminate spaces with beauty and happiness while helping people discover the many ways plants and flowers can enrich our quality of life—from supporting mental and physical well-being to creating positive social connections and stronger communities.
Horticulture offers personalized botanical design and plant care for homes, businesses, and events, along with plant classes, workshops, and community events. Through thoughtful design and a deep love of plants, Bahjah and her team aim to contribute to the beauty, sustainability, and vitality of Philadelphia’s neighborhoods.

Together Café is a beloved Brewerytown community hub run by Ron and Sara, who returned to Philadelphia with a vision for creating a space that brings people together. What began as an idea for a skateboard and coffee shop has grown into a neighborhood staple with a loyal community of regulars.
More than a café, Together is a place for connection. They regularly collect donations for local nonprofits, open their space for community-led meetings and gatherings, and create a welcoming environment where neighbors can meet, connect, and support one another.
Rooted in Brewerytown, Together reflects the spirit of its name: a small business built around community, collaboration, and bringing people together.
